This year was the 2nd year of screening and discovering great films as 2nd Itching-Scratching film festival took place from 1st to 2nd of November 2013 at Godsbanen – Remisen, in Aarhus Denmark.
The 2013 edition brought a slight change in the concept, as we also presented independent films next to the student ones. This gave us opportunity to show the films from more accomplished directors as well.
In addition to the screenings, we played a host to Ines Tanovic, who was this year’s special guest, represented with two movies on the festival, ”A day on the Drina” a documentary, and ”Some other stories” a short fiction film. Her documentary was the base for Q&A with Ines Tanovic, but only the base, as talks soon expanded to include documentary genre in general. To help us out, the debate host and the moderator was a writer and a great film aficionado Dino Avdibegovic.
Despite the change on the outside, and great chairs, perfectly suitable for sitting 10 hours and more (we know, we know), the continuity on the inside was intact. The festival is still about bringing you new talents and everything that comes along with that: great stories, interesting and new narratives, and some experiments. A Roller-coaster of emotions, as one of our guests proclaimed.
And last but not least, we would like to thank our sponsors and all the voluntaries that we had this year. Special thanks goes to: Bonus Aarhus – Vores Verden, Vejle – The Burger Joint, Aarhus – Cafe Gemmestedet, Aarhus municipality and Godsbanen for their economic support.
As it seems, we are becoming a part of the local art scene, and this is only because of YOU, our dear guests who are the reason why we do this. So thank you the most.
We are looking forward to seeing you again next year.
From the team
Thank you, and see you again.
